Assigned vs Draft Templates

SigStudio has two types of templates: Assigned and Draft.

Assigned Templates

Assigned Templates are currently applied to one or more Groups. These are the active designs your team is using. Changes to assigned templates will affect signatures after the next processing.

Draft Templates

Draft Templates are not connected to any Group. You can edit them freely without affecting any installed signatures. This is the ideal way to work on new designs or experiment with changes.

Recommended Workflow

1. Create or duplicate a template as a Draft
2. Make your changes and test thoroughly
3. Assign the template to a Group when ready
4. Process Signatures to apply the new design
